ADMINISTRATION & MARKETING INTERNSHIP
Snarky Elephant Productions (SEP) is seeking an administration & marketing intern to work directly with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and the SEP Executive team. Ideal candidates should be interested in learning about a variety of sectors in the media and entertainment world, primarily marketing, social media, media editing (audio and video), and project management. Interns should be interested in initiating their own projects, passionate about the arts, entrepreneurship, and interested in learning about the administrative aspects of a growing entertainment company. They will work to coordinate newsletter e-blasts, create and schedule social media promotions, and do general administrative work for the organization. They will also assist in coordinating with news outlets and strategizing projects for the company, as needed.

MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as a visible and vocal representative of the company by promoting SEP and its projects

Assist with scouting new projects to add to SEP’s portfolio of projects

Assist with writing and collecting materials for media and press proposals, as available

Create and schedule social posts on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram for SEP

Assist with maintaining and growing the organization's social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) presence

Work with the executive team to keep our website up-to-date and create new content
-
General administrative tasks, including filling paperwork and organizing records
-
Develop and implement strategies to enhance our online presence
-
Assist in the creation of videos and other multi-media content for our website and for online promotion

Send regular e-blasts about festival updates, events, news, etc

Track and maintain a detailed mailing list of our contacts
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Must be a strong writer, with excellent grammar and proofreading skills

Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Experience with Google Docs (Spreadsheets, Docs, Drive, etc.)

Experience with Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Design is strongly preferred

Knowledge of social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, MailerLite)

Hours Expected: 10 - 15 hours a week; 4-6 month commitment needed. Computer and internet access is required.
The Executive Team hosts staff meetings twice a week to bring the team together to discuss weekly goals and accomplishments.
This is an ideal opportunity to learn about growing an organization, entrepreneurship in the arts, project management, and marketing. The intern can have the opportunity to work with the co-founder on the podcast Leave Looking Up with Moon31 as well as other departments at Snarky Elephant, including development.
The position can provide a college credit, travel stipend or equivalent value. Additional compensation can be provided based upon experience. This position can grow into a full-time position with the right candidate.
