He has been recognized by the Art Directors Guild for my work on La La Land and has appeared in numerous publications including Spectrum 24: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art for my work on The Jungle Book. His work has also been recognized for the Oscars for The Black Panther, La La Land, and Mulan. He also recently been inducted as a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences. He has also been awarded the Lightbox Award for Best Environmental Art by the Concept Artist Association in 2021.
His most recent venture in independent film making, The Chemical Factory won best animated documentary at the 2021 Doc LA film festival, best animated film at the Socially Relevant Film Festival of New York 2022, and is now proudly part of the LA Times Short Docs series.
